What is a FlashMob?
definition : “A flash mob (or flashmob)[1] is a group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, perform an unusual and sometimes seemingly pointless act for a brief time, then disperse, often for the purposes of entertainment and/or satire.” via the Wiki Entry.
Maybe you think it sounds boring, but at the least watch one of them before you make your final judgement.

coming in at number 7 is one large mob. This one comes in at number 7 simply because of the amount of resources available to get the mob going. When you have unlimited resources like the Black Eyed Peas did, it makes things easier.
I guess the story is something like the Black Eyed Peas set up a FlashMob to surprise Oprah during a live outdoor concert, Oprah seemed to be shocked and pulls out a flipcam or her cellphone to start filming it.

coming in at #6 … a FlashMob / Michael Jackson tribute in one! MJ is epic and add a LARGE FlashMob and you have genius. This clip includes 2 different FlashMobs in Stockholm @ Sergels Torg (link is sat photo).

Students and staff break out into a dance in the great hall of the new Ohio Union on Monday, May 3, 2010 around 12:35 PM.
I like this MOB its small relative to the watching crowd and the crowd loves it, screaming and yelling as the staff and kids dance.
another plus is being able to view it in 1080p

This mob is large, 200 dancers break out in their version of “Do Re Mi” from the Sound of Music? Its pretty Epic, a large audience who seems fairly pleased by the entreatment. It all starts off with a little girl dancing.

number 3 comes straight from you local mall’s food court, right next to the Arby’s as you can see I highlighted in the picture, love me some Arby’s. What I like about this flash mob is the participants are actually singing! So thats pretty cool, plus its around christmas and its when everyone is eating … so people are generally in a good mood and more open to weird stuff.

coming in at number 2 is the “Lightsaber Flash Mob” … it is almost epic if they wouldnt had used lame Lightsabers. If they had used the real lightsabers this would had been #1 … and Epic, but they didnt. Here is a video of how the real ones operate. No special effects thats the real saber and it makes all those sounds, my son and me each have one.

in at number one is the first flash mob I ever saw. The place is Grand Central Terminal in New York. 200 people FREEZE in place, its epic! There are tons of cameras rolling, you can hear people talking and confused. Its my top pick for sure.
and last but not least “Drive Traffic with Good Content” … every story you write doesnt have to be about your field, your allowed to spend the time to put something fun together, just to drive some visitors. Maybe you’ll capture a couple for the long term.
